The combination of construction work, evangelism, leadership training and exposure to new cultures profoundly affects every participant on an unto team. Every project involves both the demonstration and the proclamation of the gospel of Christ. As a result, team members leave their mark in time through bricks and mortar but they also influence hearts and lives for eternity. Teams originating from church congregations discover that this experience makes such and impact when they return home that the life of their church in never the same. Who can Join?
Both skilled and unskilled workers can participate in unto work teams. There is a role to play for everyone! National personnel at the overseas site will be present to teach simple skills and methods normally employed in their nation. Participants must be at least 12 years of age, in good health and holders of valid passports. A facility in the language of the project country will be helpful but not essential. Unto will supply interpreters. Special abilities in music, puppetry or drama can be useful for ministry opportunities.
Trip Costs?
Costs vary from project to project, depending largely on the destination and type of project. Generally, team members need to be prepared to raise or personally contribute anywhere from $1,150 to $2800 depending on the project, length of time, and location. The package price normally includes airfare, and all meals and accommodations in the project nation. A cultural tour is also an included highlight. You will enjoy the services of an unto representative who will accompany your group and make all the necessary arrangements for you.
