unto inc. is an organization that facilitates short term mission trips to third world countries. Our purpose is to expose groups and individuals to showing Jesus in all that we do, developing partnerships with others to make a difference.
There is a role to play for everyone.
I cannot overstate the significance of what the Lighthouse Project in the Dominican Republic has meant to the Tri-unity Christian School community over more than 15 years.
First, it has been a unique partnership for a school to have the opportunity to develop continuity in a mission endeavor over as many years as this relationship has lasted. This long-term continuity has afforded us the blessing of being able to witness the progression of the project. It has also enabled our students to see the impact that our school has made over time.
Secondly, exposing young people to an environment that is foreign to their socioeconomic upbringing has been the seedbed for the Lord to radically change their hearts and perspective on what is of value in life. Countless students’ lives have been impacted through the experience. Many have pursued lifelong calls to ministry as a result. One graduate served in an orphanage in Mexico. Her passion for missions was ignited on her High School trips to the Dominican Republic, and that flame continues to burn today.
Thirdly, the students have meaningful projects that allow them the opportunity to work hard and see the impact of their labor. This has been immensely satisfying for them to be part of a team of students who are changing the standard of living for those less fortunate. Finally, the camp where the students are stationed is perfectly located as a base of operations -- safe and yet very close to where they are working and ministering.
I would give my highest recommendation to any school considering allowing their students to be a part of the great work that the Lord has been doing through many, many groups over multiplied years in Los
Alcarrizos.

Tri-unity Christian School students have been serving down in the DR for 15 years through Unto. Here are a couple of comments shared by these students during their devotional time while on a trip to the Lighthouse School project.
“We don’t deserve to be an American. “To whom much is received, much is required.” God gave us the ability to do what we’re doing; we didn’t do anything, but serve…serving is what we’re designed for. We’re designed to work for God and bless others.” (2 student boys from TCS)
One student another evening shared his feelings about the “Mountain Top Experience.”
“I challenge everyone to remember this experience. Remember what God has done in this place. Remember how he moved in so many ways to make this trip successful. Remember the faces of the children and families you now have a connection with….REMEMBER.”
